There might be a few about...... but to be honest they only look better than the standard twin pea shooter,i did this and there was hardly any noise difference so soon moved it on..... just a back box change there are lots better

Got a std STi backbox from an 05 needing a new home. I'm pretty sure it will fit a classic if you cut off one of the hangers. Not looking for much money - make me an offer of a few beer tokens It has a small dent on the underside of the tail pipe, by the way, but you can't see it when its fitted.

Nowhere near Glasgow though, so if anyone knows how much they weigh (being lazy here!) I can work out a shipping cost for you.

Sounds like a better bet, being closer etc, but if this doesn't work out let me know.

I can use the courier we use at the office - they charge about £10 for up to 10kg, and above this there's a charge of around 75p per kilo.

I can't see the exhaust costing much more than £15 to ship - if you want to call it £30 delivered it's yours, and I will even cut off the hanger that isn't quite right - and not really necessary as I understand it - for you if you want!

Anyone know the weight? Also, does the newage defo fit when you remove one of the hangers?

Brian, seen the one scoobynutz has but he is looking for pick up....

OK, great If you search here you will find quite a few threads on newage/classic backbox swaps and everyone seems to say that it is possible.

Also, for what its worth, the 2.75" Milltek backbox (also for sale, by the way!) I had removed recently when I upgraded to a full 3" decat system has had its "extra" support arm removed - which suggests to me it was a classic backbox fitted to a newage. Confusing, or what!

Bottom line - I would be foolish to guarantee that it will fit, so you must satisfy yourself that it will be OK.

I've read it myself so i'm fairly confident, plus, i'm not saying i have loads of spare cash to throw about but for £30 its hardly the end of the world if it doesn't!

Can you PM me your details for payment....
Cheers
Chris
