Talking I'm Looking for a Standard WRX 2.0 JAP IMPORT or STi V1 or V2

Hi Peeps,

After 2 years without a Scooby, I have finally managed to come to a point where I can't go anymore without it.

I used to own a red Scooby WRX Jap import Standard, but sold it in 2004.
Now I am looking for a something Similar, or STi V1 or V2, Please do reply to threaad if you have one for sale, and have any pics. I'm not fond of green color, blue, silver or black is all good.
Milleage looking roughly at around 60K miles nothing over 80K miles please, I prefer the car to have service history and previous MOT's and any major service records i.e timing belt change, turbo oil changed, rear diff oil changed stuff like that.

I am very interested, I bought my last scooby from scoobynet, so hoping i'll be second time lucky as well.

Thanks peeps in advance...

I picked up a 94WRX import in September for £2700. The fella thought there was something majorly wrong with it as it wouldn't go above 4k. After a bit of help on here, i changed one of the coil packs (£20) and it was sorted.
Keep lookin priten, i'd try autotrader, both the magazine and the website as not all are listed on the website. Have the cash ready and be patient, try a few and weigh up the pro's and con's of each one. Then set yourself a price for that particular car. The previous owner of mine told me to **** off when i offered him £2700, but after i walked off he came back and agreed.
Good luck wiv your search m8, there are bargains out there!

Think this should read "lucky to get an STI for that money." I've seen loads of early import WRX around that price.

indeed my cars a brit spec lx (boring) but with full jap wrx running gear (less boring). have you tryed any importers? i live in scunny and theres ebony and ivory, but i dont know much about them...

what about ebay, if you get time to look at the cars face to face before bidding.

theres also a website called desperateseller.co.uk sounds dodgy, just a catchy name, i found my first scoob there n bought it from sheffield.

good luck anyway...

Wink

Plenty around for 3 -3.5k. But getting a genuine one like you want.( standard with 60K and full service history) Dont think you stand much of a chance at that price. I know there are loads of early imports with so called 30-60k on them for that price. But for 10 to 12 year old cars id say most of these claims are bulls**t. You`ll only have history from when it entered the country. So best thing to do is get one that was imported in brand new.
Anyway. Best of luck with the search.

I agree with all you guys, This will be my 3rd scoob, so Im not a first time buyer, so I know what I am looking for, and I know a 94 wrx for 5 is a bit overprice, I picked my last scoob up from scoobynet, and previous one from autotrader, I have tried ebay and seen some decent ones, one is a fresh import 94 m plate, no uk owner yet, going for 3750, with MOT and TAX.
But I'd like to say thank you guys for all you advice and support, will be patient and have a cash burning a hole in me pocket, please do reply to my thread if anyone has a SCooB for my price range...desperateseller.co.uk I should try that one, if I can't get anything on autotrader, scoobynet or ebay....thanks and let the search go on on on and on.....lol
