I'm looking for an external hard drive. 100Gig minimum. Preferably compact/small. Not bothered about drive speed, its just for backing up files. USB/Firewire.

What have you got..??

Haven't got one Doug but how much you looking to spend? These things aren't that expensive new (comparatively). Give a budget to work with and I'll have a look online.

 

Why not get an external harddisk enclosure and plop in a spare disk. Enclosuers are about £12 and 100gb disks are about £50.

Just a though, I admit, it won't look as nice as a dedicated external drive though

I'm using a laptop (2x100gigSATA in raid=0) and am looking to backup whats on already. (75gig). I really need one thats quite compact and portable. I've had a look on fleabay and they seem to be around £90 delivered. Was just wandering if anyone had one that was surplus to requirements now to save a bit of dot dash.
