Nothing wrong with the Scooby is there?
Did you manage to find out why the car was down on power?

When I was looking for a cheap runner last time, I looked at:

www.loot.com
www.adtrader.co.uk
and even autotrader.

Hello mate,
No I still don't know why the figures were low at the RR (he says as he blows another M3 away on the M23 ) 330bhp/355lbs Yeah right

Anyway yes you've guessed it, I'm going to strip my car down to the chassis over the next couple of months, as soon as I get a sh*t mobile to get me to work and back.
I've had a big think about it over the last few days, and when you've got the usual mortgage/young kids/bills etc etc I can't keep spending money like I have been doing.(not to mention nagging wife )
And if I keep it, I will have to spend £2500 plus on a newer gearbox and rear diff to cope with the power my cars kicking out.
So I think its time to do it now
I've had the car for five years and modded it for five years and had loads of fun in the process, but its time to call it a day for at least the next year anyway.
Thanks for the links mate I'll have a look...this is going to hurt isn't it

Kev.

Buy a cheap runaround, take the scoob off the road, lock the scoob in the garage for a while, save some cash, buy new box during the process, put scoob back on the road again....sorted

Hello mate,
Not a bad idea...but I've got a little credit card debt I want to clear once and for all, So strip it seems the best option.
My little carrot in a years time might be a skyline
So I'm going to spank the overtime as much as I can over the next year, and start saving
Anyway haven't you got to go and buy some jelly and mud for Jen ???
(private joke for those who don't know )

Sorry to here that.

I have been in the same situation before, keep spending to get it just right and reliable, or cut the project dead. (Unlike the Wembly staduim project!).

Hope you win a largish lottery prize.
