Default Defi's

Mate,

Just treated myself to a set of Defi link gauges, Oil pressure, oil temp, boost, link meter II and pod from Scoobymania for just umder £500, this included all the sensors and bush adaptor for the temp sensor. Quick delivery and found they were quite helpful when i called up for some advise when installing.

Personally i prefere the link gauges for the MY99 to the BF's as they match the existing dials on the dash in the car.

Some advice tho, If you go for Defi's; just installed the gauges and found that the oil pressure will alarm if the ignition is on until the engine is started. This is because the control unit recognises the pressure as being in fault (ie) because there is no pressure. For this reason I would suggest that you install the kit with a switch on the permanent live feed to the control unit. Then the gauges can be switched of when stationary. that way you can listen to your 'radio' for example with the ignition on without the defi's alarming. Well thats what i'm going to be doing the weekend.

Hope this helps

Rob
