Wink Steel d/v bung....bailey etc etc

Hi all, fitted an HKS sequential dumpvalve yesterday, I know,I'm a chav but I don't think that the bung that is part of the kit is long enough as it's become dislodged once already, I did find it though luckily.

Has anyone got a spare steel bung that's about 35-40mm in length. It's the one for the pre-facelift classic, pre late '96.

Thanx.

Si.

Did you put a jubalee clip on it ?

Only ask as most are only about 25mm long, and the ones I've fitted have never come loose.

Yeah, put jubilee clip on although not sure how tight yesterday, today it's very tight.

The problem may be that this bung is hollow, bailey ones are solid and almost half inch longer, I just wanna be sure.

Should be fine - there's no pressure to pop it off - its simply there to stop rubish getting in the system.
I always tie wrap them to the I/C Bracket or nearest anchour point, to stop them flapping around & knocking the bung out.

I bought mine from Demon Tweeks, as the DV12 kit I bought didn't have the bung included - has never popped loose, cost about £8 IIRC
