im tryin to get 300bhp at the mo m8..ive got a import wrx
try aftermarket exhaust....including de-cat...induction kit....mcb (manual control boost)
you will need to fit a knock link sensor ..and also have a boost gauge.
with the boost up around 1.1 bar you should be close to 300 m8..

no chance, the UK car will have a TD04 fitted and at 1.1 bar will make about 265. You would need to change your turbo to something larger like a TD05-16g or APS SR30 to achieve 300.
so you'd need decat, fuel pump, injectors, turbo, a good panel filter (green)and better intercooling will help but not all together essential (just means youd have to run higher boost to achieve the same result)

Ah but he said he wanted 300...so with a stadnard TD04 thats pretty much not going to happen....290 yes, ive seen it a fair few times but 300 no, unless its an Andy.F TD04 hybrid.
Thats not overly true...my car runs 1.4bar all day, + nitrous and the engine hardly knocks at all, apart from when you initially switch the NOS on...and thats been running around 410bhp on the last few drag runs......totally standard engine internals.
If your running silly boost and by that i mean 1.5bar + then yeah, your engine may not last that long especially if its been badly maintained. Your mapper can advise you of whats a safe level. I was assured by Bob Rawle that 1.4bar was perfectly fine on my car, i even said that i intended to track it, drag it etc and he still said, yep, thats ok.

as long as youve got enough fuel going in then 1.1 bar will be ok, if 1.1 bar is a lot more than standard then i woudlnt do it. (by a lot more i mean more than about 0.2bar)

i definitely wouldnt wind it up to 1.1 then mate, for your own sake. If you wanted to try something relatively sensible, buy a dawes boost controller and slowly raise it up, i would say no further than 0.8 for now....you will probably notice a fair bit more response from just that and its only 25 quid.
If you dont have any form of knock detection though then its best left as is, as otherwise it will be too late and BANG! (if you get it wrong...)

Which Turbo?
Check this out, it may answer some of your turbo questions.

Any of the VF turbos will get you to your goal as well and are all bolt on for your car.
A WALBRO 255 fuel pump and a VF35 will retain good low down torque as well as meet your goal of 300 + bhp easily. Not sure what injectors the my99 UK cars came with.
Cheers
