c.v joint,engine mount bracket,poss maf
as above for a 97 uk phase1 i have a hideous rattling noise going on and my steering wont go right under boost and i have heard it could be one these causing it also maybe looking at a new maf as there is a smell of petrol when i drive the car

I have a driveshaft if you wanted one?
Check you fuel hoses when they are pressurised. I had a smell of petrol recently and inspection found a cracked fuel pipe! luckily it was a bradided hose so was just dripping off the bottom a little but still could have been very dangerous.

i will let you know tomorrow about the driveshaft nezz as im getting it looked at again, im not sure whats down that area but people i have spoke to say its probably the c.v joint and the mount , does the driveshaft tie in with these at all
