I have a friend in Nottingham who is looking at an impreza in nottingham tomorrow (private seller). He knows the basics but not enough to substantiate the car totally.
He has seen it once and a few things puzzle him. If anybody lives in the nottingham area and wants to make a bit of cash he is willing to pay if you can meet with him and the car seller and have a look over the car - he doesn't want to pay a fortune to get the AA to look at it at this stage, but wants somebody in the know to check it over, and it seems that a lot of you guys seem to know what you are talking about!
I was gonna make the trip (from St Albans) but the clutch has gone in my old banger (pre-new scooby car).
If anyone can help, at a time that suits tomorrow, please call me on 07771 862073.

It's a dark blue turbo 4 door. Registration N255 BKR.
Has a WRC spoiler and gold 16' wheels.
It's on the autotrader website priced at £8,500, it says it has had a new engine with full FSH.
If you know anything please let me know.

where is it ur lookin at it???

hmmmm?
i know of a dark blue that had 555 logo stickers etc on it that was written off, it had the private plate B16 SUB (BIG SUB) i hear it was 4 sale 4 spares (i think) but i have seen it back on the road!!!!
could be the same one with the stickers removed! and the old plate back on it!
the plate was 4 sale on ScoobyNet he wanted £2.5K!!!!!!!!!!!!! yahhh rite!
any pix of it?
i've just look at it on the net, if its a MY96 i don't think it would hav come with that bonnet! MY97 that started!? i hav a face lift MY97 turbo!! get some one to look at it closely

How long ago was it classed as a right off? What history do you know of it?
The Hpi check came up with the car as a subaru impreza SPORT!!!! Appears it is a sport shell with a FEW extra bits inside.............engine, interior etc.
What is my mate being sold??????

SELIMS tell your mate to avoid this nightmare waiting to happen,I dont know the car but is sounds like trouble to me.keep looking there are good cars to be had for that money! (SPORT)!! turbo,who's going to insure that. tommy
