Hello, at last somebody with the same fault as me!!!!!!!!!
I had this on my fresh import 95 sti-ra a couple of weeks ago......
It turned out to be the fuel sender units in the tank, as i have now found out that it is very common on early cars from japan, if you look in the boot and u will find two access hatches, remove these and also remove the bottom half of the backseat, two bolts located by where you lower leg would be and i can tell you what is at fault with a very simple test, also have a short length of thinish electrical wire ready.
e-mail me on mark@rallyhq.fsnet.co.uk and i will give you my mobile number and i will talk you through it as it only takes a couple of mins and would take longer to type it than test it?
