Hi, just signed up to Scoobynet having read through the forum in the past. Im looking to buy my first Impreza having just sold my MR2 and come of insurable age.
If any members know of a face lift UK Turbo for sale please PM me with details as Im not having much luck finding one myself.

If you want some advice then id recommend the MY99 car over the 97/98 car if your looking for a scoob 
They changed the engine from a phase 1 to a phase 2 on the MY99, 97 and 98 cars were prone to suffering from piston slap (possably around 10% of ALL subaru models), this calls for some minor (well it use to be a short engine but now they change the piston and rings i think) work.
The 99 is supposedly classed as the best classic uk car, with a slightly less restricted ecu over the MY00 (its interchangeable and also can be mapped with ecutek software were as the MY97/98 cars cannot).

Cheers Tony advice is exactly what I need! Im not going to rush into buying this like I have with cars in the past.....think im just going to lurk on here for a few weeks and get some knowledgeL Ive got an old 325iS Beemer to get me to work just now untill I find a nice example Scooby Beemer will be for sale soonish too if anyone needs one!

my w reg turbo 2000 in the dark mica blue is currently up for sale, if your interested. It has done 57600 miles, had 1 previous owner, fsh, taxed and MOT and is in very good condition throughout. It comes with all the ususal extras in addition to a few more extras. Car i up for sale for £8900, Email me if you want some info on hani13@btopenworld.com.
