Johns Parallel port doesnt work, so might not be any good if the software Chrome requires to run on it, needs a dongle
Otherwise I would be speaking to John about it for my delta dash project

I have spoken to John already
I have a SERIAL Link device with which I can connect directly to my Possum Link ECU- which I understand uses the serial port.
Not sure if there is a requirement for the parrallel port (need to check with bob rawle when he gets back from mapping up north)

(they also do USB Link. fwiw)

Sounds good, where abouts are you, what is the general condition like. Does the battery hold any charge?
Thanks...

Hello Mark,
I'm just outside Leeds, but work in London so I cover a good deal of the country.
The laptop's in good condition - no scuffs or dents.
I'm not sure about the charge since I always had it plugged in.
I can try it if you like.

I have recently had the same problem with my serial link. Bob has informed me that my Link ECU needs a ECU upgrade so it will work with PC Link. If you record the chip number and ask Bob I sure he can tell you if the chip supports PC Link. I spent a week thinking my laptop was bust.
