Hi Jonny,
Thanks for your reply to my post.
I'll certainly have it if it is suitable.
Showing my ignorance what is an U8 ECU, i.e. what model is it off, year and bhp.
Cheers

LeMans,
I would only go for the ecu on the model year of your car, there are subtle differences in performance and engine changes over those years you have stated (ie the MY93 is actually a wrx and has no engine work performed on it, then the earlier cars had less power etc over the later cars and different engine modifications).
It would help if you were more specific in denoting what car its for exactly

Tony,
Its a MY93 albeit registered in 94 and is presently 240PS.
I am about to have my existing ECU changed with a scoobyecu/chip.
I am simply looking for a spare ECU and believed (wrongly or rightly) that a 93/94/95 ECU would fit and be okay although I realise there were subtle changes in model years with 240/260/275/280 PS.

A z4 260ps ecu will be a big improvement on the earlier ecu...
Hardly any diff in engine between those years apart from the early wrx had a closed deck block, which is ard as nails.
