Question

plastic jobby thing that fits over the screw thread on the gearstick

Anyone got one spare or they dont need???

you could wrap some insulation tape around the shaft to pad it out

I was in the same boat a couple of months ago - managed to alter one that didn't fit by drilling out the centre and tapping it.
If you can get hold of the unused / spare bits from somebody's kit,you can tap the centre of one that is to small to fit, with a M12 Fine.

Alternativly - send it me in the post and I'll do it for you.
