How do we knowe the prodrive name and logo are a breach of copywrite law ?

 

It got deleted apparently because it serves no purpose......All I asked was a question and things start getting locked left right and centre............
NOBODY KNOWS FOR SURE WHETHER THESE SPOILERS ARE ILLEGAL......MONEYS WASNT.......

 

its like everything cat, pay £100 for a giorgio armani top or exactly the same thing but a fake for £25, ur paying for the name.

but the question stands as to whether prodrive have TM or R on their name or the spoiler!!!

Ha HA was thinking the same thing myself everything I seem to touch gets locked. I mean fair enough if it was offensive or iflammatory but I was just asking the question whether or not anybody actually knew these were illegal but no just over moderating as per usual........
I have original prodrive stuff on my car (alloys) which cost an absolute fortune so its not as if we don't support these guys, who I have the utmost respect for. If they dealt straight to the public though that might help their ridiculously high prices....?

Yeah, but how else can they support Petter when he keeps wrecking cars. Just be thankful Messr McCrae isn't back or the spoiler would be 3 times the price

In fact, if STI have trademark/copyright on their spoiler, then just about every company who supports SN is flogging fakes

I guess it's down to using the logo and not the spoiler design itself.

I just hope it's not like the dodgy fake CK t-shirts and has Predrive or some other type to avoid the Copyright

I said it before but you choose to ignore me. If you want to discuss this I'll move it to non-scooby related. The reason for the deletion was explained. Prodrive stated that the company in question did not have the right to use its name or brand image - that in my book is breech of copyright / trademark and is illegal.

Is it so difficult for people to understand??

There is nothing wrong with making a design that looks like someone elses - that's been happening for years with a variety of items. However, when you actually use a trademark image and try to pass something off as another companies product, then you get into trouble.
