The rest of the block must be in good condition.

Please email me direct if you can help.

Thanks guys, but Tims block is in perfect condition, and it would be sacrilege to do what I want to do, to it

I'm amazed that with all these engine failures, no ones got a knackered block...

Question

How damaged do the bores have to be? Could the seller just take a file to the bore, or will they require serious cutting tools before you will consider it?

Mark,

Would an Sti 2 engine have a closed deck block?

I have a friend with one, snapped a conrod & all the other usual bits went with it.

I'm not sure on the condition of the block - I will call him tonight & ask. I'll let you know tomorrow if thats ok.
