Wrx Type RA Version 2 Sprint Build
Well it's been a busy day.
Sold the Wrx this morning to Merv's mate Adam.
Had to swap the Bilsteins back to the TEINs before he arrived from Barry.
Any way Adam took ownership and it was a short journey up to the base of the A4069 Black Mountain Pass to collect the barn find Wrx RA.
It's lovely under the dust but not everything has weather too well.
The boot is a write off where the spoiler mounts, excuse to go spoiler less with a GL boot lid.
Under neath is solid and the engine and gearbox are just brilliant.
It had a new CDB build in 2008 with a receipt to proof it.
Plan??
Fit Prodrive bucket seats.
Ap 6 pots front
Ap 4 pot rears
6 point roll cage
Bilstein shocks and eibach springs
22mm front and 24mm rear anti roll bars
And plenty more chassis goodies.
Progress will be slow, aiming for next years MLR Whiteline Sprint Series.
Any way here's the pics.
Dylan.

D great find, I think subaru should be giving South Wales some funding what with all the ra resurrections going on at present. Is this an everyday ra fast rd or full on track beast. Great find mate

That's straight line white is faster when it gets bendy and bumpy lol
Fast road and track work. The sti RA will be the stripped out track animal.
I still have to use this back and forth to work lol.
Can't wait to make a start on it.

Glad he likes it. It's better it stayed as a clean road car rather than used on track.

Came with a weigh bridge print out too and it tipped the scales at 1200kg.
Good starting point now to reduce it or mod and not increase it lol.

Admiral. Been with them now since 2008 with an impreza on cover. This year is the first year without staff discount.
Never paid more than £500 since 2010.

The Prodrive seats are in and sitting lower than before. Modified the seat rail for that.
Wheels are off to the wheel specialist swansea for a full refurb.
Old disks and bells are off to Reyland Motorsport for some replacments that are not machined off centre, these will be fitted when the wheels are completed and semi slicks fitted.
Bilstein struts are going next week for a full refurb too although I maybe at a disadvantage running struts rather than coilovers. But we will see.
Got a set of these to fit too.
Then it's just some small stuff like bushes, anti roll bars, esl sister board and some group n stuff.
Fingers crossed.
Going to busy
