Default Remapping / power run at indigo with JGM

How many of you guys would be interested in getting your cars remapped or power run with JGM at Indigo GT if it can be arranged.

I know that Bath & Bristol tried this last year but didn't happen as they could not quite get the minimum number of cars for a RR session.

You will have to determine whether you want to arrange for group power runs or a group remapping. Then sort some prices out with Indigo.

i.e.
min 6 cars for mapping @ £XXX
min 12 cars for power runs @ £XX

My guess is power runs would have more takers (as its cheaper, many already have remaps and also have their favorite mapper [Duncan])

Drop me a PM if you like & we'll do it jointly with another Club.

Erm, like rallying "anything is possible when we think a little sideways"

If your intention is to sort out some form of group buy with JGM then you are better off not limiting yourself to one location or day.

I set up a group buy with Bob Rawle, this ran very well across a few forums with in excess of 50 very satisfied customers.

If you would like the benefit of my experience then drop me a PM or see me at the meet on Wednesday.

I want my car looked over and tweaked as its new to me.
The rr is 65 plus vat an hr.
If people want a power run or map on rollers it just needs to be there booked in with Simon.
Will arrange with jgm what people need and costs. Chat to indigo about rr.
Jgm said he is happy to.come down for one car if fuel is covered.
But as he will be in the area thought few other guys may like his services.

Let's get a list together and what they want and start planning to arrive area a date etc

As Ty said and having been involved in the past, an RR day can be a pain in the grinner especially if cars are mixed AWD, FWD or RWD.

My suggestion would be to split the days into three separate offers.

Mapping

Booked with Simon and all the supporting mods fitted ready to stop any fannying about and delays on the day.

Mapping and RR

As above but this will take much longer with people hanging about with **** all to do.

RR

All of the above and be prepared for people not to turn up and cars to go **** up on the day. And if it's done properly, which Indigo will insist on, it may be a bit slow. If cars go bang it's at the owners risk.

But having sounded like a bringer of doom I have attended the odd one where everything as gone well.

I'll come in the RA.

If it's going ahead then it'll be have to be from the middle of March onwards for me, depending on date then I'd definitely be interested.

That is fine for me, I have been in touch with Antony and I am waiting for him to come back to me with a price for the dyno rental.

It all depends on how many people are interested, so I think it's time that people confirmed that they are going to attend.

I have just got off the phone from Antony @ Indigo GT and he will charge us £80.00 per hour for dyno time, I have assumed 1 hour per car and that £80.00 is based upon 2 cars as at present.

He will need to know fairly soon to make sure that we get the date and time we are aiming for, so can any interested party please confirm ASAP so that we can get the ball rolling.

An hour is enough per car assuming no issues with the car - boost hose blocking off, 3port needed as two quick examples..

you can just book a power run with indigo when ever you want, or welcome to do it on the same day the mapping is going on and I can check how it is running by plugging into the ecu and monitoring with detcans if wanted.

Good job fodder. I defo what mine looked at. Want the map checked and tweaked. Il be speaking to jgm about current spec and what can be added to help it. Not after more power just safe. Currently got 343 on surrey rollers. But that was 2009. Boost controller would be nice. Got very mild boost oscillation now and again so will see what mods will stop this rather than map it out. Would Still like to stay over 340 bhp :-) If not squeeze a little more. Headers and up pipe and induction system.

What Turbos are on the 2004 sti type UK and their max safe bhp figures.

You should have a VF35 on a UK Blobeye, you may gain slightly more but you'd have to look at porting and polishing to maximise the output.

You're at the higher end of what is possible on a VF35, perhaps an uprated actuator?

Sorry but I don't have the time at present to do much more than I've done already, I'm waiting for a price from Simon bearing in mind travelling costs are on top of any mapping charges.

I'll happily do what I can within my current time constraints but nothing beyond that.

If this does fall on it's face then I do have other options open to me.

No that is for one hour of dyno time, a power run will take a lot less time than that.

Well perhaps if you adopted a more pleasant tone then I'd get you the information, or failing that you could try looking for yourself.

The use of Google is one of the miracles of the modern IT savvy world, it will yield you Indigo GT's web page and their telephone number which is 01495 719720.

Give Antony a ring at Indigo and I am sure he can advise on the price, at the moment I cannot organise too much more than I have done already.
