Default Any idea?

Does anyone know how much it would cost to get my front and rear calipers refurbed on my w plate classic turbo 2000 and will it make much difference? If I do get them refurbed should I get braided brake lines aswell or does that not make a difference?

Bugger, racking my semi-pissed brain here as I had mine refurbed by Godspeed a few years ago. Sorry, can't remember but it was reasonable. I had a MY00 at the time, and lucky for me I live in Bridgend so it was hassle free. Hmm was it £150 for the fronts? **** that's just a guess.

He's a great bloke Ian Godspeed, give him a bell?

I quote:

"We can recondition any type of caliper, ranging from classics to full on racing calipers. We make our own alloy pistons from cars fitted with calipers fitted with alloy pistons as standard that have ended up pitting or corroding.

Any Caliper fitted with chrome plated pistons, with the calipers moving in the caliper over the years the chrome ends up wearing away, which leaves the steel open to the elements. This causes them to rust then causing sticking or seizing.

As replacements we mnake our own stainless steel pistons that will never rust, if you have a sample, we can copy any shape or size piston.

We can recondition just about any standard fit calipers, along with AP, Brembo, Alcon, K-Sport etc.
"

You get the callipers resprayed the colour of your choice (he won't do the white lettering though on the Subaru 4 pots!).

Have you got problems with the brakes or do you want to freshmen them up? Braided lines will take some of the softness out of the pedal, as they won't expand under pressure. They are relatively cheap, so a worthwhile upgrade.

Fair enough. Give Ian at godspeed a ring, he'll sort you out with new pistons and seals.

Take them to Ian mate, always used him and had great service!

He usually has some already refurbed off the shelf on exchange basis so you won't have to have the car off the road long.

Did my Porche calipers few years back
