You can get them for a good price now but it will still be expensive to run as you should think of it as running a £60k car you bought for £15k ! You may be able to service it relatively cheaply but repairwise you'll need a fair whack if things go wrong!

These are going for really good prices, I love them but I think you need to look out for carbon build up as it has caused a few problems I would read through the forums about it cus high miles needs to stay clear I think but I'm no expert and please don't let me put you off its just what iv been told. Pm poppyripps he's had one and loved it.

If the RS6 is the V8 then it could still suffer from the carbon build up as does the R8... bit of a PITA mind!

Your never gonna find a car that doesn't have it's own Achilles heel, we all entertain the what if when buying a performance car and there will always be bills in the future, some big some small. If its summat you really want just do it

Check out the prices of discs, pads, and recon/uprated gearboxes. I was very close to buying one until I saw the prices of bits...

Brakes are 2k for the front, back shockers are 3k a pair and are main dealer only typical examples of running a RS6

I recall a retired F1 driver, who owns a fleet of cars & he said the RS6 was by far the most expensive car to run & maintain!!

I looked into one of these a while back, got scared about the costs. On the surface a second hand RS6 may look extremely good value but they're probably not once the running costs are factored in

I ran an RS6 for about 4/5 years, as the above posts, huge maintenance costs and fuel consumption with crap standard suspension and brakes. But what a car, 505 bhp mapped by MRC. Awesome acceleration that just goes on and on, quiet and comfortable, not really at home on your local B roads as they're a heavy old thing.
I weighed mine at the 30-130 day at Marholm and with me in it and almost a tank of petrol 2045kg. If you can get a good one and don't mind the bills, get one, you'll love the effortless way the car travels at huge speeds
