Hello, we have a 206 and today on the way to Cardiff the engine management light came on! She drives ok and sounds ok! We got to where we wanted to, did a bit of shopping for a few hours and jumped back in her and the light was still on this time!

It has happened in the past but once left for a hour or so it goes off and is fine!

Apart from the dealers, anywhere else I could take it and put it on a computer to see if any codes come up?

Just buy a cheap fault code reader off ebay, I think I paid £11 delivered for one recently which I needed for the little Saxo run around I've just purchased.

If it runs okay my money would be on the CAT, falling below the 95% efficiency (ie it's getting old).

Mine has come on for that on my 206 a couple of times "Ageing CAT" It passes the MOT though so just reset the error....
