Brake discs removal
hi guys wot holds the discs on to the hubs ive taken calipers off for a refurb new pads discs and hoses are on order havent tackled the discs yet are they held on to the hub by the drive shaft nut cant see any retaining screw

Hi Duckdo, what year is your car,
if it's a classic, the discs should just pull straight off,
if not there is probably a small grub screw holding them
but the drive shaft nut does not hold them on.

iirc there's a couple of threaded holes (but maybe only the rear), you can screw a bolt in and it will help free the discs from the hub, it could just be rust holding the on

Are you talking front disc or rears??
The front's just just come off with a tug or a tap with a mallet,
The rears are a little more complicated, you need to wind the handbrake shoes in via the winder on the back of the hub, this is accessed by removing a little oval rubber plug
