Default Wrx / sti struts

As above wots the differance between sti and wrx struts why i ask i bought 2 front struts for my wrx last week when i asked the factors wots the diff they told me they are the same part number so are the struts the same and got different springs set

No they are talking out of their backsides, the damping rate will be different to give a more firm/sporting ride in the STi.

I might just be wrong but I doubt it.

Are'nt Sti struts also red in colour, a set Sti struts and Sti Prodrive matched springs will be a nice addition - they're on my wish list

I thought the same ty ive got a scooby parts disc at home so going to check that later when i get in dont now if the top mounts are the same i havent fitted the new ones yet iam thinking of putting sti truts on her all round

just checked part numbers for shockers should have part numbers 20311fe120 right hand and 20311fe130 for left hand but got part number of old struts which is 20311fe140for right hand side and 20311fe150 so iam nun the wiser

Well it looks like you've got the part numbers assuming you have a 2004 WRX.

Have a look at the link below

The part numbers you have listed first I haven't a clue what they fit though.

thanks for the help ty with that link iam going to put sti struts on her second hand if i can find a set but if not new going to get oe numbers cross referenced tomorrow ive got a set of eibach lowering springs for wrx struts but i send them back and get sti set instead not in no rush as long as its done ready for rally day

Well I will have my set of STi struts with Prodrive lowering springs coming off soon if the coilovers I'm looking at go ahead.

keep me in mind please ty iam not in any rush still saving for new brake set up my front calipers are in a shocking state with rust and corrosion defo going sti route ive got a new set of wrx front struts and eibach springs here but i think i return them for sti set up if i cant find a second hand set

Well I'm picking up a set of coilovers on Friday, I'm not sure yet when they'll be fitted but if you are not in a rush then that's ok for me.

I had Black JDM STi struts with red springs fitted to my old Bug Wagon. They came off a Blobeye JDM STi. Hope that's added to the confusion
