Default Dumb question probably!!!

Was thinking later down the line of buying a set of unequal headers for my sport to give it that lovely burble, this is where the question comes!! To get get that burble do u have to have a full de cat and the unequeals for that sound or can u still have the unequeals on a standard cat system
??? And that is now 2 questions hahahaha..cheers guys

You should be able to get it from changing just the headers

Will also depend on your bakbox, removing cats will increase the noise - you may be OK with headers for the burble -(if you can fit these to a Sport model ?) with the exhaust you have now - depends how loud you want to go really - how many cats you got, downpipe and mid section /

The sport already has unequal length headers. You need to get rid of the cat that's under the drivers arris to get a deeper tone. Get a better back box and your away.

Hiya Simon,

The sports come with equal lengh manifold - I can take some pictures of my old one and post them if proof is required.

To get any hope of the burble you will need one of these -

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...STRK:MEWAX:VRI

With the standard rear box you won't hear anything 'cause it's too quiet - it will need to be replaced with a louder one - I have a Ninja 2 from ScoobyWorld on mine.

My current (which is unlikely to change) exhaust system is:-

unlequal length manifold, first CAT still in place, second CAT replaced with an Afterburner DE-CAT pipe, Afterburner Centre Section and Ninja 2 rear box - all bought from ScoobyWorld.

If you do decide to go for the stainless unlequal length manifold - you'll need to get it heat wrapped if you want to replace the plastic under tray - the manifold will melt it other wise !

I hope this helps.

Andy

for the trademark "burble" get yourself a borla manifold. Manifold back will only effect the tone and volume.

Sorry - didn't mean to cause any offence.

Gaining knowledge and getting advice is one of the reasons forums like this exist.

BTW the turbo manifold won't fit - I tried to go down that route myself and failed hugely !
