would the engine be deprived of air with that , as the front of it looks like it will throw the air up onto the screen , unlike the normal scoop grabs huge amounts .
intersting to know your thoughts on this

never a bad thing to have plenty of air getting into the engine bay, the cooler the better, not so importanat i dont suppose with the FMIC. He's gonna have plenty of fresh air getting in also from his driver side fog lamp, which will probably have a duct running up through the wing, terminating right by the induction kit so that will help im sure.
Know what u mean though, i doubt the carbon would allow quite as much in compared to the scoop.
Looks mean i like it

Ian, the Spec C 12 litre IC water reservoir, pump, hoses, nozzles etc will be removed from the car as they no longer have a purpose.

I'll be selling the above plus the scoop, Zerosports IC undertray, Zerosports cooling panel, RCM induction kit, SPT CAIK heat shield plus other bits and pieces.

Thanks Rob, the whole purpose of the reverse scoop is to draw as much hot air out of the engine bay as possible as the TMIC is no longer there. I think it's more important to draw out the air heated by the engine bay and keep temps down.

Peter, you would be surprised how ineffective the scoop actually is - when a certain MPH is passed very little air is being directed into the scoop as it is actually being deflected over the scoop by the front area of the car.

That's why it's unsafe to run an Impreza for long periods at high speed as the TMIC will actually turn into a heat soak and instead of cooling the charge air it will heat it up, this can lead to engine failure due to heated charge air entering the engine for prolonged periods of time.

I'm still considering a different reverse vent if I can't get on with it, but all will be decided in time.

A practical use for the vent, should I take the pie/pastie out of the wrapping though?

I like it Ty,maybee with a bit more carbon items on the car it would blend in even more and in the flesh i bet it looks the dogs danglies.

I for one don't like TX's one it reminds me of those stupid louvres you used to get on the back windows ford capris or cortinas in the 80's

Will your old scoop fit my bonnet or are the blobs different?

Nice work Dylan.

Keep spending Ty

Well they will give a more meaty taste but the wings are a right sod to remove from your teeth.
