Default Oil in Intercooler ?

I know that some oil get's in there, but at the top L/H side of my I/C, oil is dripping onto the downpipe - what would cause this

Is it getting thrown up there or is it coming from the IC?

No it doesn't look like it's thrown up, it's sort of pooling at the crimps with the top end tank on the I/C, L/H side right side seems OK. I'm assuming the I/C should be completely sealed ? The oil is dripping onto the downward curve of the Downpipe, no oil around the Turbo or it's oil feed ?

Looks like its leaking out through ic on corner where end crimp joins core, couldnt see where else it is coming from last night. Think si is taking ic off today for a better look. It is clean oil aswell.

You've got a catch can fitted though Simon, therefore should be far less of an opportunity for oil to get into your IC (I think ????)

I got it off, there seems to be little oil in the I/C itself, just seems to be coming from the tank crimps all along the top under edge - odd realy, I kept the I/C upright for a while looking for oil to come out but very little did ? thers's no oil around the top of the engine either ?
