Default Which are better

I'm looking at new wheels for my classic and was wondering which size would be better?

17" x 7.0"

OR

17" x 7.5"

What about tyre's on either of these?

Thanks Claire

Most important is the correct offset for whatever one you choose, as for tyres 215 40 17 is the choice of the masses.

You got steel rods instead off dampers and springs though with those coilovers you got

The P1 on 18's was not the best choice accordinging to the press at the time of launch. 18's will increase the unsprung weight, lower the profile and give a harsher ride beacuse of this, less wall to absorb the bumps.

OE Speedline Prodrive Flow Forming 7 spoke (PFF7's) are very light compared to the Redline Replicas and cost three times as much.

That's what I am saying, depending on the maker the wheel could be light or heavy. Most people prefer 17's over 18's on a Classic.

The tyres are less prone to damage and absorb bumps better as they have a larger side profile. OE PFF's are very light, they cost £1800 as an option for the Newage with 225/40/18 Pirelli P Zero Nero's from a dealer. Inovit Redlines will cost £409 a set of four wheels. Even with tyres your looking at a 1/3rd of the cost.

It depends on how much you want to spend and quality you want. Buy cheap and pay twice sometimes.

I'm quite happy running 18's... ok you know when you have them on because they make for a firmer ride because you feel the bumps a little more but I can't say I notice a massive difference between the 2 when I run the 17's.
