It could be the contacts in the fob or the receivers?

Probably the fob.

Not sure if the ICE lad down your way could help, Sonic Frontiers (?). I think it's pushing £200 for a new set of keys and a synchronisation. Perhaps a new Cat 1 would be cheaper.

Put it in the proper section with some more info, and you'll get an answer.

Assuming you have a standard fit Sigma alarm, the fob is only 35 quid new from Subaru, but there are loads on ebay. They can be re-programmed yourself, very easy.

Joey is right, its very simple to re-programme any like-for-like fob to your car. Get one bought off ebay fella.

I hear that the frequency that the Bug/Blob car alarm transmits on is now vunerable due to more modern domestic equipment piggy backing the same frequency. According to Sigma Sam whom helped me a few years ago, he said that even freeview boxes can now cause issues Anyway if it does go haywire, just re-programme and make sure you keep the pin number stored in your nogging in case it does jam up in the middle of nowhere
