Default Paint shops?

Evening all just after some advice. The paint on my rear arches of my classic has started to bubble and was just wondering does anyone know of any paint garages in the Swansea area and also do I need to just get the rear arches done or do I need to get the whole car sprayed. Also any ideas on cost?
Thanks in advance.

Just booked mine into a place in Cardiff. I have had stuff done a few times on various cars there and he's bloody good.

One thing to check is to have a look between the bumper and rear arch near the blistering, mine is going there too.

Mine is getting the rusting metal cut out, replaced with new steel and then I am getting the bumper, boot, spoiler and all areas from the rear doors back resprayed.

£500

Depends how bad the rust is do you have any pics. If its only light can be easily repaired. Grinder with a flop disc on it. Clean the rusty area up. You wil only have a few small pits left then, treat with a rust remedy then prime and paint. For both rear arches doing and blowing into doors a fair price for a professional job is around £200-£350 depending on the job.

The problem with with the rear arches is that it's bad inside before it becomes apparent. It's a know weak area and is never easy or cheap.

I'll get some pics of mine as it's done.

We replaced a pair of 1/4 panels on a classic due to corosion and when the original 1/4's were removed we found holes big enough to put your fist through on the inner arch panels, we then had to cut out the centre support pillars re-fabricate the inner arch panels and reinstate the support pillars, if its not done properly it wont last.

Thats a cracking price Ian, if i estimated that job for fred bloggs you'd be looking at circa £350inc for the paint and materials alone, make sure they look at the inner arches/1/4's from under the wheel housing, exesive corosion can also be seen if the boot trim is stripped out.

I am getting the rear bumper off this weekend to have a good look behind. I am going to sort out the rear numberplate light brackets as they collect loads of cack due to the air flow through the number plate light holes. Once the backend is done its the front bumper bracket, then the bumper and splitter (don't you just love curbs and gates!).

He's done stuff for me before and did a cracking job on a KA with b-pillar damage and got a seamless match on Cuirass Blue paint. Got it blended in a treat and the body work looked new. I even took the inside trim panels off to have a look inside and it was excellent.

Fingers crossed for the Scoob.
