be 3rd time for fixing, 1st time i bore washed it, being a idiot. 2nd time damaged block, mating surfaces warped, lasted 1300 miles, this time done over 3k, mapped, all working brilliant. its a cooling issue that caused it. now i gotta work out what, i think race rad, new water pump, cooler thermostat. new arp head bolts. and a engine bay clean. lol

gotta smile or i will cry.

dunno if its related but only 1rad fan been working recently, 2nd only kicks in when very hot, always used to have 2 fans on same time and heaters in car dont work anymore.

hi math been trying to get hold of you, could it be that the head gaskets or heads as you did use the same head bolts a few times ? did you do cylinder test when engine is warm as it is forged ? no knocks on bottom end that we built just over heating and low pressure ? plus i remember a thread you posted saying about a hissing noise you had awhile back so sounds like head problem to me

could one be cracked ? give me a ring mate

well this car has tried my patience over past 3 years, but the fun and smile factor means i cannot, not fix it especially for a duff hose. this time now tho gonna spend some time cleaning, painting, some carbon fibre on bodywork, splash of paint, new decals. clean engine bay alot.

im happy cause its not anything i done wrong when building.

just really hope bottom end didn't get to hot and attempt suicide lol motul 300v 15w 50 oil in, so shud be well protected.

pricing things up today, gonna cost £600 to put right. not including inlet manifold, exhaust gaskets etc.

so i think by then end of it its will probably cost approx £700

dont think misses is gonna allow this expense with new born baby.

maybe time to say good bye to my scoob

sad times
