Having rode one of these, I can tell you they are like a chesterfield on wheels, really comfy great for commuting, had a friend who dispatched on one of these and he loved it.

The only real issue he had was the finish wasn't upto the standards you would get from say a Honda. Fasteners went furry quickly and the finish went off quickly on the metal parts.

But he just covered everything with waxoil or wd40 and got on with it.

Engine's are virtually unbreakable if serviced regularly.

went to see the bike and the fella had it running wanted to see it start from cold so that put me off

yea know what you mean, always need to see it from cold....could have regulator/recifier problems or solenoid problems in theory, so could have jumped started it prior to your arrival to mask problems...
