Default See what you've made me go and do !!!

What started out a little under a year ago was the purchase of an 01 wagon WRX for which i was very happy with

Now after several runs and meetings i've been bitten hard by the bug (or should that be my wallet has )

I'm visiting charlie at prospeed on the 23rd of this month for a sports cat and straight through centre section to be fitted.
Then on 3rd April it's a trip down the M4 to see Bob Rawle to get it mapped.

I blame you lot entirely !!

Many thanks guys !!!

Glad to hear that you have taken notice.

Did you get the group buy price that I arranged with Bob? I have no doubt that Bob will get the best possible result for you.

Did you change the intercooler and fuel pump in the end?

Many thanks Ty, i did get the group buy price. Bobs been away this weekend in Slovenia mapping so he must know what he's doing LOL

I'm changing the fuel pump for a Walbro unit (i'm buying it,Mervs changing it ) but keeping the std intercooler for the mo. Mainly because it will be cheaper this way, than waiting till i get the cooler + air scoop and undertray and spraying them then full price for a re-map.

I'll get the cooler and scoop over time the fit them before an update map with Bob.

Once again cheers for sorting out this price, there's a load of owners who have taken up this offer with him.

Don't blame us.

You can take a horse to water but you can't make it drink.

Well just a little update :

Dropped her off yesterday at Prospeed and took away the allmera ( The Loaner ) LOL

Picked up at 6pm due to there being a problem with the intercooler, this was later explained that it had been off before my ownership and whoever put it back on had crimped the main rubber pipe, the one about 4" wide and 3" long and this was letting air loss around it. Charlies european technician had fitted a very smart red samco hose instead FOC.

The quality of the work is astonishing and the welds as smooth as a cashmere codpiece.

I cannot fault his company and would recommend him to anyone getting a new exhaust.

The car now sound amazing and i cannot wait till the 3rd to see Bob for the re-map now.

Onward and upward !!

You won't regret getting it mapped mate.
I have the same car and spec as you and had the remap done by Bob. Makes such a big difference to the car.

Medium !! Dont make me laff !!
I think that after all these years building exhausts Charlies hearing is shot to pieces
They will both snap the elastic on young womens knickers
I think it's quieter than yours but it's alot louder than it was. Iirc Evil soup wanted it quietish (it was his backbox) and that's all there is to dampen the sound

You definitely cannot question the quality of the worksmanship at Prospeed, nice of him to sort out the hose for you as well.

I asked Charlie for a medium tone exhaust, but I think his medium must be everyone else's loud, I would like to hear a loud exhaust that he has built.

Mine and Calvin's must be loud because you can scare other drivers on the road when you pass them.

Don't worry Bob will transform your car - it will be like a different car, I am going back up to see him in late June / July when I have finished the current modding.

Yeah mine did 283/319 but I am sure its not all about the figures. The way it drives now is so much better.
