What do you lot use for cleaning the cars?
As the show season is coming i'm going to start getting some new cleaning gear together. At the moment i'm using the jetwash with a turtlewax wash and wax, but i need something quick and easy to use for polishing? I am then going to use the Autoglym sealant protection stuff after ive polished. Just about to wash (well get my mum to wash) all my microfibre towels and going to order a lambswool wash mitt and a Poorboys luxury buffing towel. Anything good to get for taking to shows to give it a quick shine once i get there? Any suggestions on poilishes or sprays? Or just maybe a few pointers Kev, Simon, its time to shine

I am a lazy sod by nature so I plan to take my car to Eclipse Auto Valeting get him to carry out a full detailing inc de-swirling the paintwork, he then seals the paintwork with some gloop (can't remember the name).
When I am washing the car myself I go the two bucket route, with the lambs wool washing mitt always being washed out before going back into the foam bucket. The best advice I can give especially with a black car is to do it in sections rather than roof, sides, boot and bonnet.
I clean the wheels seperately and wash them off and then use a wet cloth just to take off any dust which is left.
After having the last car detailed it only took about 35 mins to get the car from filthy to gleaming.

First I pressure wash the car on low with clean water to remove the worst, I'll be investing in a foam lance at some point.
I use Megs gold class car wash with a lambs wool mit, grit guard and the 2 bucket method.
For drying Megs detailer and 2/3 fresh microfiber cloth every time.
If the cloth is dropped on the floor its in the dirty pile.
Once the cloths are used they go in the washing machine.
Wax, I use Harley's with a wax application pad and again micro fiber cloths.
Wheels, Wheels I use PS21 auto wash and again micro fiber cloths.
I usually take them off quite a few times ayear for a proper clean and a fresh coat of wheel wax.
Exhaust and other metal shiny bits, Megs metal polish, micro fiber cloths.
Wheel arches and underside, P21 auto wash with a very soft brush.
Engine bay, P21 auto wash and Megs trim cream.
Windows, Megs window cleaner.
As for the inside, I hate that shiny dash board spray crap so mine get a wipe over with a damp micro fiber, that all its needs apart from a light vacuum
I think thats it
Little and often is my motto but then the car is not used a great deal so I dont have to deal with everyday grime.
I have only ever waxed my car 3 times so that tells you just how good the wax is

Ry,
If your on a budget Simoniz wash and wax is £1.11 a gallon in COSTCO at the mo. I use liquid soda crystals on the wheel and it's about 99p from Wilko's for 500ml.
I know have a fancy mop bucket with a grill in the bottom to catch the crap but always use a chennelle/fleece mitten. A good Megs towel and a decent Wax after.
I tried the ICE LIquid Clay which was ok but if your not quick , it will leave a white chalky residue.
Just my 10p
