Its for when you break down on a Japanese motorway. Its like a warning triangle in this country. (i think)

They are used in the US too by the Emergency Services at car accident scenes to illuminate the area in the back woods.

To use then over here may cause a bit of a drama. Mine is still inplace under the dash.
