I have spoken to Rob @ Draig Parts today and as I work with a good friend of his he is doing me a super duper deal on the last VI unit he has in stock.

He can do them to us a fair bit cheaper than the list price, I will let you know.

Forgot to say - picking it up tomorrow.

Ty,

Is there an issue with the V5/6 Classic's? Or are they still plug and play?

I think it depends on whether they have the OBD diagnotics port, if it has you can have a try of mine.

It is a nice bit of eye candy , it does somethings that a PSi3 does plus a few other functions as well, don't tell me you don't fancy testing the telemetry fuctions, lateral G functions etc

The datalogging is an excellent function especially if you intend to carry out active monitoring. I'd say it has definate advantages over any real time displayed info but both have there uses.

Ian the Prostepper gauges are good value and you can pick up either a dash/pillar pod or I think you can pick up a face plate to replace the heater vents quite reasonably as well.

I will have the VI unit tomorrow so I will post up some pics tomorrow night if I get a chance.

One plug and you get all the necessary info you need direct from the ECU. Should be pretty accurate so let's see what V1 have over the now defuncted PSI3.

The ability to download to a PC should also appeal to some of the geeks on SN

just think that all you need is oil temp / oil pressure / boost and knock link

does it measure oil temp / engine knock ?? as these are important and would spend money on those first

I was too knackered after work last night to give it a try and I didn't think there was much point in plugging it into the works van on the way home

That's why they built such a straight road off the top of the Gower

Google Maps
I know the road and used to drive it quite a bit when I was more 'carefree' but at the end of the straight after the hidden dips (and if you go fast enough you can get some air time) there is a right hand bend and quite a few cars have gone off the end of the road towards the church yard.
