My Front Bumper Story
Ok,as some of you know i have wanted to upgrade my front bumper from the standard one to a 99-00 spec one to bring it up to date a bit.
So i started off by finding a bumper brand new up with Awesome imports in Bristol. So after speaking to Lee up there he said one would be delivered the next day. Happy days Or so i thought The next day came and went....no bumper, and so on and so on for 3 days. I rang Lee and he give me a tracking number for the parcel with Interlink "Express".
I rang Interlink and give the reference number and the woman on the phone said they werent sure where it was and would ring me back.
1 hour later and no call so i rang again, same person answered and said that the bumper was lost and i would have to purchase another one I dont think so So a quick phonecall to Lee and he said i could have another one free of charge and he would find the lost one
So i finally have the bumper Now on to the splitter
Ordered a V-Ltd splitter with HT Autos which turned up next day
Now on with getting fog covers. Looking through E-bay i found some in the U.S.A for £23 delivered which arrived in 4 days All is now set for paint and fitting.............or so i thought
Realised i didnt have brackets to fit the fog covers now So on the phone to Mark at HT Autos,he had some for £12.50 were being sent out next day delivery. I ordered them last thursday 13/8/09 as of today they still havent arrived So mark is kindly sending me some more this time recorded
The bumper went for paint today along with the splitter and covers
Made a phonecall to the bodyshop and the car was ready to pick up
However, things were not as good as it seemed. Ian the owner said he had a small problem. While driving the car out of the workshop to the parking area he had clipped a post and scuffed the bumper, cracked the splitter and broken my sidelight He said he was sorry and he wouldnt charge for fitting and a free repair and new crystal sidelights
A pic of the damage
So now the car goes back in friday for more paint and a touch up.
Hopefully my brackets will be here to finish it off. Here are some pics.
Thanks for reading and i hope you like it

Sorry to hear about the scrape that the bodyshop managed to put on your new bumper but at least they owned up when they could have quite easily have hidden it from you.
I won't recognise the car the next time I see it.
