FMIC Fitting
Well I evetually started my FMIC fitting today, which was going so well until I took the bumper off and realised the underneath is different to the ones we've done before.
Its not a major issue as it just needs abit of cutting and grinding as per usual.
All in all it took about 1hr 30min to remove the lights, nuts & Bolts and bumper.
There are afew bits I need to get as I've just noticed I'm missing afew bits and pieces, ie. FMIC suppport brackets that attach to the bottom of the rad section, brackets to fit the number back to the bumper.
Also I might have a problem with the Steering cooler getting in the way but thats one for later.

well i got jap one and fitted it on the side where the fog light is. its square and has been modified a little! but still legal lettering and space with all markings. i didnt want to put it anywhere in front of the fmic as didnt want to restrict its flow of air in any way.
i will have to have a look into those brackets as i didnt have anywith mine. seems to be held in place well on the crash bar with the piping being tight as well

Oh well, the job is on hold.
My plan was to fit the FMIC with the piping going into the engine bay but not fully connect it up until it goes for a remap. I Just realised the Standard airbox connects to a biggish size box in the drivers wing which feeds the Standard airbox so I can't connect all the piping up without taking the bumper and everything abck off again.
So until I can book this in for a remap I aint doing anymore which is a bu**er.

After the issue I had the other day, I've decided I'm going to keep the OEM airbox as you can't beat the OEM filter really.
To do this I'm gonna have to get some custom pipework done, does anyone have any recommendations of where to have this done ?

I've seen it done where the intercooler is fitted up side down so the inlet/outlets are at the top, think the pipe work then goes in by the headlights, much shorter route than the standard Hybrid piping. Might be worth considering if getting custom pipe work.
Only thing with getting it done by charlie is the pipe work would probably be Stainless instead of ally which is a hell of a lot heavier. Have a chat to John he must have had custom pipe work for his Lateral I/C.
