Default WHAT WAX?

After trying most of the off the shelf products inc, Autoglym extra deep gloss/super resin/extra gloss protection, meguiars liquid gold, mer, auto smart platinum, zymol, turtle wax clear vue & colour magic with the later giving the best results IMO, i will probably continue to use the colour magic on the front area due to road rash, bearing in mind i polish the car alot can anyone recomend a product that will give the car the best gloss?

Jarvis when my car was detailed Peter from Eclipse used a product from Sonax which certainly gave good results.

I been using Meguiars Mirror glaze #16 and its fantastic on my Blue/Black Mica. It goes on nice, and buffs off really easy. I think I paid £15 or so for a tin but its lasted 12 months so far and still loads left...

Hows this for a reflection in the 8 year old paint....

Just found some on ebay for £11.99

Meguiars mirror glaze #16 professional paste wax on eBay (end time 19-Aug-09 18:46:07 BST)

Lately I've been using the Turtle wax "Ice" range - 1st Liquid clay bar after a hose down and then using the Liquid polish, which is easy to apply and not a bugger to buff off, was still beading water 4 weeks after I'd cleaned it..........also the polish doesn't leave white residue on yer black bits

I would go for Autoglym high definition wax £25 thats good its got carnauba wax in it bring out the metallic and shine, then liquid hard wax let it set on the car for about a hour that will give it the awesome gloss and protection for weeks and it will also give a beading effect wen it rains

What wax..... now that's a question

What's your budget

20-30
30-40
40-50
£50 and more ( slippery slope )

It's all in the preparation the wax just seals so I would suggest a cleanser to use first to make sure all residue is off the car before the new goes on.

Personally I don't like the liquids I prefer the carnuba based solid products.

Zymol titanium most be keep it in the fridge and you apply it using the warmth from your palms (no rags) allow to haze then buff lightly to a gloss:-). Jarvis Remeber my old boxster, that's what i used. I think it's arround £100 a tub and smells nice too....

No prob dude, if i was you tho wait until its all sorted cos you know what your like for leaning on wings

What colour car does this guy have ?

If you can afford it then BOS without a dout, i use onyx myself and it give very good protection and its only £40.00 compared to the £120.00 BOS. As for other colours apart from black i recommend the Jeffs Werkstatt range from Polished Bliss, the acrylic stuff for colours such as silver, white etc.... and the carnuba stuff for warmer colours such as reds, yellows etc... the acrylic is amazing for making the fleck pop in paint.

That is very nice mate......... you got a few nice options to go for mate

1. Dodo Juice super natural - £75 but refills are cheaper
2. Dodo Juice Blue Velvet - £32
3. Swissvax Onyx = £40
4. If you got the coin for it then Swissvax Best of Show, which looks stunning on a well preped black paint but comes in at £120
5. Raceglaze 55 - not sure on price but its from Polished Bliss.

There are cheaper options again of course, think its called Victorias Wax and its from Tim at clean your car.... very nice wax, take a look at the link below, R222 gives a nice finish but does last long.

Best Car Wax by Meguiar's, Optimum, Poorboys, Pinnacle and Chemical Guys

The chem guys hardcore wax is good, i havent used it for ages tho but still have it in my collection, may try it on the wkend i think.

Happy hunting mate, if i can help you out giss a shout.
