Richard called me today and said it sounds like the MAF sensor, So i've just cleaned it and took the car for a slow run which normal brings the light on but it run ok with no check light. Richard is coming around monday to plug it in and we'll see whats what.
when i bought the car the guy said it had a K&N but guess what it's got a factors air filter so another question for you guys, What Air filter would you recommend I have a full stainless system?

Rich really is a top guy, he helped me out last week
As for an air filter, the green panel filters seem to be well thought of so well worth a go.
As for your MAF, I'd still plan to buy a new one as cleaned ones often fail anyway (so I've read on here - no experience of this myself). I normally change the MAF yearly as a service item.

I had a 2nd hand MAF fitted following problems with running etc, that failed again after 3 months - bought one on here for £80 - it looked like new when I got it and has worked well since...............as for the panel - I bought a TSL/Green filters, Group N hybrid and it's very good - lightly oiled. so as to not clog up your MAF HTH.
