Default Fault code reader anyone?

Engine Management light came on this morning on my way into work

My car is a 2001 bugeye so I cannot use the manual method of working out the fault codes.

Was thinking of buying an RAC Fault Code reader from Argos as it's readily available but if anyone has a reader that lives around the Neath or Swansea area, I'd appreciate a quick borrow.

Thanks,
Dean.

I you fancy a drive to J48, I can plug in the laptop. I'll be there from 6ish.

Well assuming my drive back from Bristol goes without any drama this afternoon, I'd really appreciate it if I could pop up?

I normally get off at J43 so a little further wouldn't harm . I'll drop you a PM mate, thanks.

What a top guy Rich is . Many thanks for your time this evening mate and thanks for a diagnostics check on my bug.

Problem was Cylinder 1 Misfire Detected. I was going to swap out the spark plugs but a little digging on the forums has revealed that the problem is likely to be the neutral position switch on the gearbox.

I'm also going to bag an ELM327 interface as well so I'll be able to check myself in future without imposing on Rich

Always a pleasure, especially if I get a drink out of it
