Wanted: Set of Shocks for MY00 classic
I have posted in Wanted but thought I would ask here as well.
My car failed its MOT yesterday with a badly leaking shock. Car has done 108k and I am keeping it for a good old while, so makes sense to get all 4 done.
Don't want coilovers, quite happy with standard struts and my newish Eibach springs.
So I'm after either a new set of OEMs or used with very low mileage?
Cheapest new I've found is through Camskill - £236 delivered which seems fair?

Looks like Camskill it might be then if I can't source a v low mileage set.
Someone offering me a set for £30 in Wanted - seems v cheap I've asked for miles and pics.

i got a set of used for £40 will be honest i dont know the milage but they are in good working order, there still made up with the springs on but if you want to come down with the car we can swop an fit them for you for a few ££ extra

Who are we - do you work in a garage?
Very tempted as could save me a fair few quid - how much would you charge for swapping them over with my Eibachs?

me and my brother are just starting a jap breakers for south wales we have the building and trying to get stock in to get going, so wont be long before we start trading properly,
and will be called "South Wales Jap Spares"
will take us about 2 hours to do the job so what you say to £100 all in with the shocks,
we are right by newport city centre and could drop you into town so you can have a wander or some food then collect you from town when its all done if you wanted too,
we can do it as soon as you get the car to us, we could do it in the evening if thats easyer for you with work as long as its not friday night,
and will be called "South Wales Jap Spares"

Sounds good - but how soon could you do it? Just realised that MOT runs out next Wednesday.
Could you do it tonight - I could get there by 5:30? If not Monday evening?
Don't suppose you would do it on the weekend otherwise?
If these not suitable I'll have to order them from Camskill to have them fitted Tuesday so I can re-MOT Wednesday.
