well finally got her on the road .just in time for re/map tomorrow.

Ozz, I spotted you yesterday was about 6.30pm . I came past you on my way back from the match going through Monmouth tunnels in the Golf.
Car sounded sweet with a some pop's and bang's for good measure

yes kev it was me popping and banging for the wrong reasons mapping didn't go very well guys.bob thinks the cam timing or valve timing is out so he done a kind of map to sort the fuelling out restricted to 80mph at the mo but got to get it sorted and take it back to him any info gratefully accepted

What a shame, still its a good job Bob highlighted any potential problem before its too late.
I thought you were taking it easy and not like most drives home after a mapping session

You said at the meet that the cam belt had been changed so I guess its a good place to start just in case its out a tooth or so.
Hope you get it sorted soon

yer it's back at my m8s he's stripping her down again tomorrow he's 99% certain that it's not the belt he always check a couple of times before he puts them back together will wait and see .
as you say kev it's just as well she went straight for the map and found out straight away before any real damage was caused .
would have been going a bit faster through the tunnel if she was going rightsorry i didn't notice you kev

No worries I was in my Golf on the way back from Man U so was not expecting a wave.

On a happier note your car does look good on the road, it has quite a presence

cheers for that kev does need a bit of paintwork but the main thing is to get all the running gear right first

too right plenty of time to get the paint done only end up with more stone chips again knowing my luck

was the car running ok before the belt was done ?? it could be out by one if so should be an easy fix
have the cams been out of the heads?? could be gapped wrong maybe keep us posted fella
