Default K&N Induction Kits

Hi, does anybody know what the real difference is between the two K&N induction kits as per the eBay links below

K&N 57i Induction Kit Subaru Impreza 2.5 - 57-0626 on eBay, also, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 29-Mar-09 12:52:03 BST)

K & N 57i PERFORMANCE SUBARU IMPREZA 2.0/2.5 WRX/STI on eBay, also, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 20-Mar-09 00:21:09 GMT)

Both kits are being sold by the same vendor and I am cannot decide which one to go for.

Or can you recommend a different induction kit for a 2006 WRX?

Personally id go for a RCM induction kit. Double the price but worth every penny IMO. Roger Clark Motorsport - RCM Product Detail As for the kits above,id go for the top one as it states 2.5,the bottom one says 2.0/2.5 so is probably a universal filter.

Nothing at all wrong with the panel filter but I have decided that I would prefer the more throaty noise that you get from an induction system

If i were to change mine i'd defo be tempted to go for an inner wing set-up. Keeping the intake well away from the underbonnet engine temps. Something worth looking at.

Both the APS and RCM kits are personally the only ones I would go for but i'm sure other peeps on here have other brands that work well.
You may need a map tweak if you fit an Induction kit so you might want to factor that into the melting pot as well

Stick with an uprated panel filter. Only go down the induction route if you're fitting an FMIC and have no other choice.

These induction kits require the MAF to re-scaled costing extra at the end of the day.

The original intake is good for 400bhp+ anyway.

I actually have a cold air kit i made up my self if your interested, it has a large piperX cone filter (bit tatty, but does the job), slightly smaller than the ggr one i have, i cut the pipes to make it all fit tidy in the wing, couple of cable ties to hold it in place. Painted the pipes matt black, and had some black hoses, looks nice:

If your interested let me know.
