Are small forums coming to an end???
Just starting to wonder this...
With the likes of Facebook, social networking sites and larger forums such as ScoobyNet and SIDC, is there really any need for smaller forums anymore???
I setup a Facebook 'group' for our forum (Mid Wales Scooby's) and we now seem to spend more time on there now than we do the actual forum!!!
I think the reasons for this is because Facebook is used by friends, family and your hobbies (inc. forums) and people find it easier to be just on there rather than clicking from one place to another...
What do other people think??? I know some people hate the likes of Facebook, but we seem to be having a laugh with it (which a month ago I would have said no way to)...

PMSL... You say that now, but get a tidy group on there and some regular friends you know from the club and you will be hooked!!! I said exactly the same as you at one point and I absolutely hated the place, now look at me!!!

Facebook can be good and bad for getting in touch with old friends and colleagues, however can become a bit consuming. The trouble with sites like Facebook and Myspace is that they don't usually maintain their popularity and eventually all but disappear, where as club forums, although not as popular, usually stick around. Kev and Si, most people who say they hate it and will never join usually end up on there eventually.

I joined facebook for a month or two around a year ago simply could not see what the point of it was.... you lie about your job and how well things are just to try and look better than everyone you left school with I deleted my account shortly after as I thought it was a waste of time.
