Default Just returned from Powerstation!!

Hey guys, just returned from getting my remap done at Powerstation!! To say I'm impressed is an understatement

I was gonna go to JGM but he was mapping in Kent but it was a bit of a trek!! Glad I didn't really, one of the pipes on my Turbo was blocked so they had to removed it and swap over one from another Turbo!!

Anyway, 5hrs later and my car was all done Chuffed to bits with the way it drives on the road but power was only 352bhp and 302lb/ft torque!!

Thr injectors are apparently at about 93% capacity so will be looking to change them with any other mods I do

Current mods are-

Full 3inch decat from Pro Speed
K&N Typhoon CAIK
NGK7 plugs
Walbro pump
Forge BOV (soon to be blanked off )
TD05-20g turbo

Hope to get a few more bits soon but as Xmas is coming, I'll have to spend all the cash on myself

Merv

ps the drive back with Bonzee certainly was fun

Can I be so bold as to ask how much a map costs at Powerstation? I am looking to get my WRX done in the near future and would like somewhere fairly local ish

Didn't have a before run but had it RR's there a couple of months ago before I had the Tubo fitted and it was 341/294!! Not much of an increase but still happier with how she drives now

Thanks, a few more £££ to save up yet, but looking forward to getting a remap as I hear plenty of positive reports after getting it done.

Believe them!! Don't know why I put off having it done for so long I'm now even more!!

If I'd have had it done by a mobile mapper, I don't think they would have been able to sort the wee problem with the blocked pipe!!

Great results Merv! How much boost have you got the 20g running at to achieve this?

You need to concentrate on increasing torque, will make the car feel so much better than overall power.

A cheap fpr will alleviate the stress on the injectors aswell unless your going for more power then new injectors anyway.

Talor- It's running at 1.6 peak dropping down to 1.45 and is pretty constant at that

Lee, Jimmy- I did ask about a FPR but he said there wasn't much point Torque is a wee bit low, new headers will be coming soon to increase spool up followed by a wee map tweak

So not many mods to go I think-

Headers and Up pipe
650cc injectors (or bigger )
FPR
FMIC

Best get the overtime in!!!!

The FMIC will make one hell of a difference, IMO it holds the scoobs back from being easier to tune I reckon.

As a comparison, and I know its not just down to the intercooler, but Evo's seem to get a lot more bang for the buck out of mapping from stock, and I think the FMIC plays a part in this. IMO.

Its better mate, trust me, show me how many cars over 400hp keep the top mounted.....and don't give me the old, "well Litchfield this and that"

A FMIC makes a lot more sense all round.

I'm only aiming for 380-400 but will still change to a FMIC as they do a better job, especially as the scoop is only effective until 100mph IIRC!!

Oh, and they do look cool
