Renowheel - Rip off!!!!!
Popped down to renowheel today to price up getting my recently acquired BK 299 alloys refurbed. Even though these are just tempary wheels till i can locate some 18" gunmetal grey inovit redlines i thought it'd be worth my while getting them refubed as they have brand new toyo's on them so would be like brand new set of alloys when i come to sell them.
Well **** me, the robbing swines wanted £75 + VAT per wheel!!! £370 for 4 wheels!!
I told him that that was ridiculous as i could buy brand new alloys for that price and politly told him where to stick his quote
Anyway, just thought i'd share this with you so nobody eles wastes their time with these jokers!

You need to Consider what they do for £75 a wheel.
They Bead blast (Hardly anyone offers this service, normally sandblast)
They then chemicaly dip the wheels to remove any stubborn bits.
They then put them on a lythe to get any curb marks out
They may need to drip weld in some alloy and the on the lythe
They then sand, prime, paint and top coat
I had an expensive set of rays refurbed locally and it cost the following
Wheels were sandblasted which cost me £50
I then had them sanded, primed, painted and top coated and this came to £300
So the Reno wheel price isn't that bad
Yes you can have them sprayed cheap but the it's the old saying, you get what you pay for
If it's a cheap set of wheels, spray them yourself, I've just done a set of track day wheels in my garage and i'm pretty happy with the results,
Primer cost me £30 for 12 cans (enough for 3 sets of wheels)
Paint I had mixed up in halford for £7 a can (You need 1 can per wheel)
Laquer was around £5 for a big can

Yep. Renowheel. I have to echo Danny's comments. My OE PFF7's where the dogs danglies when I had them back and anyone who saw them will tell you that.
In this day and age you get what you pay for. I have had to many cowboy jobs done before but now I'll pay good money for a good job instead.
