Question Good Driving Roads - Advice Please

Hi all,

it's been a while since I've posted on here and a good couple of years since I owned a Scooby but grateful for some advice please. With the better weather here it's time to get out for a run.

I did a couple of Scoobyruns/MWR's with some of you guys starting at J35, near Pencoed. Which road did we used to start the run on? From the map it looks like the B4280, then A4061 where I think there was one of the amazing view points at the top - where this picture was taken back in 2005:

Once I get back over towards the A465 I know the roads well but just need a bit of help with the start of the run, or a couple of good roads that head west, if you can please. If anyone has an electronic map they can pm or e-mail me all the better.

Oh and no sorry I'm not back in a Scoob and I'm just looking for a gentle tootle on my own in this for a few photo opportunities:

Thanks,

Mark

Go out of McD's left then back under the M4 (180) then roundabout last exit then head for Bryncethin or something like that. And then straight all the way. Or mail Mike....

I'll mail you in the morning......

Hey Gazz, yep got the first bit ok but finding that mountain road is more tricky!

How's Holland? I was in Noorwijk a couple of weeks ago at a conference, Amsterdam was as entertaining as ever, nuff said!

Hi Mark

Will see if I can dig out the route, think it's on my old PC. Once my oil burner is delivered I'll be looking at stretching its legs so may drop you and a couple of the guys a mail.

Hi Mike,

pm sent. Good choice on the BM, I drove a 120d (good but nowhere near the 123d) from here to Holland a couple of weeks ago and it was superb. Only real danger was going a lot quicker than we realised. Well over 50mpg so less than £100 in diesel. The 120d in SE trim is no star on the twisties but a 123d with M-Sport should correct that nicely!

Thanks for the help with the route,

Mark
