Tyres help please
Hi I was wondering if anyone knew where to get the best price on 4 new tyres in South Wales, running Bridgestones at the mo, but wondering should I change to F1;s or maybe Avon’s size is WRX 215/45/17/W oh and will I need the XL versions its all a bit confusing. I have been to a number of the usual tyre places but they all tell me conflicting info, I think they only want to sell me what they have in stock... any ideas

Do a bit of a shop around buddy, you should be able to get a good deal buying a set of 4. Currently use Dunlops on my classic and find them great, both in wet and dry. They seem to be lasting good too. I quite fancy a set of Eagle F1's next though, if the police traffic cars use them they can't be bad.

also take in to account where you are and how much you will save by driving further afield, but then think how much fuel are you going to use getting there and back.

Hi thanks for the response I think after reading everything and considering value for money and of course grip, I'll go for the F1's just got to find the best price, but also consider best service, as recently made the mistake of buying tyres for a good price for the misuses car to find that they hadn’t balanced them properly cost £26 more to get them sorted with proper weights in the end not such a good deal.
So far I seen prices from £405 for 4 F1's
So will keep looking have a few miles before the thread will be seen
Cheers
