Default remap

any 1 got any idea what a remap would do 4 my n reg scooby wrx import as standard? im told its @270-280 bhp @ the moment . is it worth getting it mapped as it is and wot sort of gains would i get.
any advice please.

AFAIK an N reg WRX would be 240bhp and that on 100+ron (jap petrol) as standard, only STI and very late WRX models came with 276bhp as standard.
With any re-map u should be able to see 300+bhp as you should have a TD05 turbo as standard, think the small slantly intercooler may be the limting factor on your car.

IIRC they came with 260 so perhaps gain up to 280 ? but better still gets mapped to UK fuel

Whilst I was researching my new '95 STi I found this website which may or may not be reliable

cheers mate that was helpfull. i think my scoobys 280 bhp as its registerd 01/03/96 dont tha class it as 96-97?

Thats an my96 car = 260ps. My97 cars had 280ps which is sept 96 onward.
