Default car still not right

the on going saga of of my trouble continues
car went into the garage on wednesday had spark plugs and knock sensor changed went to collect it running a lot better but still not 100% asked me to fetch it back friday to try a maf off another car they were having in to have some work done bit naughty but no harm done anyway took it in
but the other cars maf was different to mine so no joy dont know whos more confused me or mechanic but used the garage for years and always been good so mate of his works at a subary dealer so hopefully can get hold of a maff to test if this is to blame or if it is something else hopefully tuesday or wednesday

Can't see how the knock sensor would make it run bad, it's job is to retard the engine if knock is detected. It would still run okay/bad if it wasn't connected, it would only cause a problem if it forced the car into limp mode.

I don't mean to be funny but when your trying to diagnose a fault it's well worth going to either a main dealer or a specialist, they have the software and the know how to find the problem, 2 minutes with machine plugged in and they have normally found the problem,

Cheaper in the long run.

Using your local garage for servicing is fine but with fault finding cheaper to go to someone that works on these cars all the time.

Lumpy running can be anything from MAF, spark plugs, coil packs, Lamba sensor to bad fuel.
